Recovered from the house of one late R. Pickman, Lot #112 (shown here) comes to us with a long history. Records show that this box has changed hands no less than thirteen times in the last century, moving across the country from owner to owner. Many of the previous posessors have remarked upon the lavish lining of the box, or the curiously-shaped lockplate, but it is without a doubt the hand-placed inlay on the box lid that is always guaranteed to catch the eye of the curious investigator...
